"Misnomer" is a Bruce Roberts 44 Center Cockpit Ketch.  Her steel hull was built in 1994, in Appleton, Wisconsin, but not launched until several years later after her interior was completed. (97/98)  She was sailed and kept in the fresh water of the Great Lakes until her present owner moved her south to warmer climes and open water access. (2009) Exhibiting a timeless design, these steel hulled boats are constructed to be strong, safe, comfortable, and good to live aboard.  She is constructed of mild steel, 5/16 below the water line, 1/4 above, and 3/16 for the deck. There is no electrolysis. Presently kept on the hard, where you can readily inspect her hull and admire her STAINLESS STEEL CLAD (1/4") KEEL and NEW propeller, she waits for your approval.  She comes with loads of spares AND new safety equipment (6 man life raft & EPIRB) A paint job and AC work should have her travel ready.  NO OFFER WILL GO UNCONSIDERED.  She has just been repainted (April 2021) and is now a beautiful shade of grey/blue.  New pictures coming soon!

Accommodations
Misnomer boasts a large open saloon with ample natural light and ventilation, generous prep and stowage in the galley, plentiful sleeping and stowage space in the forward cabin, and a surprising amount of sleeping and stowage in the aft captain's cabin including large flat areas for chart usage.  Steel bulkheads separate cabin spaces. This is how she is laid out:  In the bow of the boat there are a set of bunkbeds to starboard, with hangers for lines, gear, etc. to port. Just aft of that, the head compartment lies to starboard and a sole to ceiling locker lies across from it to port. Continuing aft is the salon. To starboard is a settee having a backrest that raises to make a set of bunk beds on that starboard side. The dining table sits in front of that settee. To port in the salon is a second settee, which also raises to form a set of bunks. Continuing aft on the port side is another large (sole to ceiling) locker. Aft of that is an extra long nav table. Across from that long nav table is the engine compartment/access. At the end of that passage lies the large aft cabin.
On the starboard side of the vessel, aft of the salon settee and dining table, lies the galley - Cooktop with oven, sink, followed by ample counter top/prep space. Across from it is the refrigeration. The aft end of the galley also opens into the aft cabin.
The berth in the aft cabin is at midline and is larger than queen size. There is ample stowage in the aft cabin, as well as many of the vessel's controls.
The companionway drops down into the salon with the galley stove to starboard and the large locker to port.
