1981 Chris-Craft 280

Chris Crafts 280 Catalina formed the backbone of the family cruiser market for years because it was/is a stable & roomy boat that would sleep 6 comfortably. The single level cabin floorplan had the galley and head conveniently located just inside the companionway for quick access from the cockpit. Large windows throughout provide plenty of natural light and ventilation. Hull construction is solid fiberglass with a deep V forward and a 15 degree deadrise aft; complemented with a beam ratio that would make modern boats envious.  These basic design features combined, generated a sturdy craft with a smooth ride and handling characteristics on a roomy vessel.  Miss Kathleen has been pampered and given everything she needed or wanted for the last 7 years. Almost everything besides the hull and hardtop have been replaced. Just seeing a clean classic vessel that has been well cared for, is enough to make any true mariner smile. She is kept in fresh water with only 55 hours on the new 5.7 L EFI engine. Owner moved out of state and is asking less than half of what he spent on her.
