The Original Grand Banks 36 is a true classic and is actually the first boat in Grand Banks Fleet. Made from Philippine Mahogany with a deep forefoot, hard chines and and long keel the GB36 developed a reputation in the industry as a seaworthy craft. The longevity of production (1965 -2004) makes a strong statement regarding trust in design even overcoming the conversion to fiberglass is mid 1973.

M/V Brigadoon, winner of "Best in Show" at the Biloxi wooden boat show & 1st Place in the Wooden Boat Festival (2017) is an example of this true classic.  Last bottom job November 2020. The engine (Cummins 5.9 turbo), generator, Northern lights 8kw and a/c units were replaced in 2007. The M/V has been in a floating, covered and freshwater slip since arriving in Louisiana in 2007. All teak exterior surfaces, including the railings, have custom Sunbrella covers and Awl Grip exterior (2016). Interior accommodations are loaded with teak, including flooring, cabinets and trim throughout as only Grand Banks can provide. The M/V has two staterooms, each with a head. The galley has granite counter tops, a new gas cook top and oven, and a new refrigerator. The dining table/coffee table was custom-made by the original owner, a professional marine carpenter. Brigadoon is a must-see trawler!
